The Law Enforcement Foundation of WNY Board of Directors joins me in wishing you, your family and your business and professional endeavors an excellent and prosperous 2024.
You are a vital partner in our efforts to assist area law enforcement agencies attain the high bar of professionalism they have set for themselves. What distinguishes our Foundation is our wide reach to police and sheriff agencies throughout Erie and Niagara counties as well as to NYS Police. Thank you for your important support.
Over many years of our Foundation’s interaction with law enforcement executives, we encourage innovative and effective approaches to achievement through program and equipment grants and leadership scholarships. There are ever-evolving challenges to 21st century policing, including evaluating internal cultures, protocols for use of force, dealing with mental health crises, strengthening police-community trust, and newly-available but often costly technology.
Several agencies have engaged training from Police Executive Research Foundation Executive Director Chuck Wexler. We were honored to feature him as 2023 speaker at our 9/11 Remembrance and Distinguished Speakers Forum.
Such efforts make our community safer. As they aspire to be the best, our organization is proud to stand beside the dedicated men and women who serve us so courageously.
Partners joined us for our Annual Reception, a cocktail buffet dinner for business, community and law enforcement leaders, on Wednesday, May 15 at The Buffalo Club, 388 Delaware Ave.
The Foundation welcomed business, community and law enforcement leaders at our 2024 Spring Reception on Wednesday, May 15, at The Buffalo Club, 388 Delaware Ave. A cocktail buffet dinner was served. A special interactive exhibit by a law enforcement agency was highlighted.
“Attendees account for a major part of the annual support the Foundation is able to provide to area law enforcement to help them deliver consistent high-quality services,” Chairman Rocco Diina said. “By strengthening this partnership with the private sector, law enforcement can do more to keep our community safe for our families and business enterprises.”
He pointed out: “It is our honor to distribute grants for state-of-the-art equipment and leadership training, which we do on behalf of all our supporters. In addition, the Reception is an enjoyable evening among friends.”
Rocco J. Diina, Chairman
